“That’s great,” I told Jeff, “my Dad’s making bratwurst for dinner, and I’ve got a big sausage of my own for you.” Mom rolled her eyes, but Jeff giggled. “Although, I must say I don’t think that’s ever been a problem for our first participant,” he said, drawing a round of laughter from the congregation. But that’s not what God is really trying to tell us.
